News: Commander Comments
03/23/2017 - by Scott Heunefeld - Commander
Comrades and Friends,

It looks as if we have made it thru another winter. Again this was a pretty season for our area of Western PA.

As we start to enter spring and summer our thoughts will go to outside enjoyment with friends and family. Things will continue to progress for activities at the Post for all members, family and friends. Please try to keep yourself informed. Easter is just around the corner and we are going to set a few hours aside for all of our kids and grandkids to visit each other and our special guest, The Easter Bunny.

The end of May brings us Memorial Day Weekend. Poppy days are the way to raise funds for veterans in need. Please give thought to volunteering a two hour shift to help our fund raising. Our Memorial Day plan is well under way. Our community parade, lead by our Post Honor Guard, Peters Twp. HS Band and others.

Don’t forget to look over the Canteen activity section. Also remember our unplanned activities—pool table, Wii bowling, corn hole and fire pit.

The Post election will be held on 20 Apr at our normal monthly meeting. Come and let your voice be heard.

We are Post 764 have an awful lot to be thankful for but always remember this is just a building. The thing that makes it so great is all of its members as well as the camaraderie we have for each other.

This will be my last set of comments to you as your Post Commander. I want to thank everyone for your support and help as we got lots done. We can pass on a great Post to those who follow.
