News: JIM MORIN (1947-2016)
01/19/2016 - by Bob Donnan
We lost a friend and an important member of VFW Memorial Park Post 764 on January 12, 2016 at age 68. As Founder of the Wall of Valor, Jim was instrumental in honoring thirty-one highly decorated war veterans and one MIA over the past two decades.

The colorful plaques honoring these men line the walls of our Postís dining room, offering all who visit a chance to learn of their bravery and sacrifice in WWII and Vietnam. Jimís vision and dedicated efforts also helped honor many of these same veterans in the Hall of Valor at Soldiers & Sailors Memorial Hall in Pittsburgh.

Inductees onto our Post 764 Wall of Valor were each honored with a replica plaque for home display as well as a formal award ceremony and large family luncheon. Many family members have later told me how special those days were to them and how much it meant to their veteran and family. Jimís dedicated work continues!
