News: Commander Comments
01/12/2015 - by Scott Huenefeld, Commander
I want to wish all of those whom I didn't get a chance to see through the holidays a belated Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.
2014 was a pretty busy year but as normal we did a very good job whenever things came our way. The only way this happen sis because of you; all our members. This past year we had a lot of new members; so to them and others that don't get involved, I really would like to see some new faces. Our teamwork, in my opinion, is second to none.
By the time you are reading this newsletter, your 2015 dues, if not paid, are late! Please renew your dues as well as your commitment to become involved. The people you meet and visit with definitely make this a worthwhile place to be a member.
One other thing I seem to bring up every year is the fact that I want to hear your thoughts and desires. Keep in mind this can only help make our Post an even better place to come and enjoy yourself, with friends too.
I am sure 2015 is going to go by just as fast as 2014 did, so let's get some new ideas coming via notes to me, suggestions in the suggestion box, etc. We may not be able to do everything, but I'm very sure with the additional ideas we can continue to add to our already active post.
As you may be aware of, 2014 we lost many of our long time members. It is very important to me to continue growing our Post to remember all those we lost and showing respect to them for all their time and effort.
In closing, again I wish to thank everyone for their time and effort helping me to continue with my purpose of making VFW POST 764 second to none in appearance, condition, friendliness and comradery! We are just a building without you.
