News: Commander Comments
09/25/2014 - by Scott Huenefeld, Commander
Changes are upon us once again! Seasons are changing, our children are back to school (drive carefully). Football and hockey are becoming the attention getters. Valleybrook road is open and much improved for our ease of travel. Our Wii bowling league is back in action with the largest group we have had to date.

To bring everyone up to date on Doug & Alexis Vitale; they are living in their new home and Doug has been the recipient of a therapy dog, which has made everyone truly happy. We all send them our best wishes.

Our summer activity schedule was pretty slow but our plans are to get back to our usual active canteen schedule. Be sure to keep the slip sheet of this newsletter and post it so you won’t forget to attend the activities you will enjoy.

Our golf outing was quite successful this year. I want to thank all of those who helped by donating or participating. We will be able to help the Ambulance Service as well as a whole list of local charities. I really appreciate everyone’s efforts again.

I have an update on our bus trip to DC. There were not enough people signed up for the trip so we have postponed the trip until May 2015. We may open this trip up to others VFWs or American Legions so we can fill the bus. Keep yourself informed by checking the postings at the Canteen.
