1944 Peters Township Honor Roll Dedication

Excerpts from the 1945 Peters Township
High School yearbook 'THE CREST'

Honor Roll Dedication

Citizens of Peters Township, and friends of neighboring townships assembled Sunday, August 6, 1944 at 7 o'clock in the evening on the high school grounds to pay tribute to those who are sacrificing everything, in order that we may live and enjoy the democratic way of life.  This tribute was paid by a dedication of the Honor Roll for all the members of the armed services.
Each guest, deep in his or her heart, said a silent prayer, that our boys might come back home safe and sound to their normal way of life, in a place of their choosing.
