COMMANDER'S COMMENTS

I would like to thank all the people involved in the past events at the Post. Without their help we could not achieve the level of success we have had. These include Memorial Day, Poppy Days, and the District 24 Convention meeting.

Coming up soon are some summer events that are sure to please and will sell-out. The Barbershop Quartet, Neil Diamond Night, and the summer picnic. Tickets are on sale.

In conclusion, we at Post 764 wish you all a fun safe summer, and hope we will see you at our upcoming attractions.

QUARTERMASTER'S COMMENTSGary McLaughlin

Post 764 is only at 91.5 % of last yearís level, with 51 unpaid members for 2008. National Headquarters will be mailing dues notices in July. The surest way to pay your dues is to send your check back to HQ with your notice in the envelope provided.

Since the last newsletter the Post has admitted: New annual members James A. Sanford, Nathaniel Alfano, and reinstated Richard Elko, annual transfer David Porter and Life transfer Lawrence Mitzen.

Taps were played over Raymond A. Lynn, Sr., Henry G. Simon, Robert E. Mitchell, and Harold F. Gundel

THIS IS MY LAST COLUMN AS YOUR QUARTERMASTER AND I WOULD LIKE TO THANK ALL THOSE WHO HAVE HELPED ME DURING MY TERMS.

SHANNON CROWLEY WILL BE THE NEW POST QUARTERMASTER AND SHE WILL NEED YOUR SUPPORT.

CANTEEN

Take a night off and let us cook for you. We are back with most of the great food we had before.

We also have some summer happenings. First is Peters Township's own Barbershop Quartet appearing July 12 at 8 p.m.  Seating is limited and at only $5 per ticket they will sell fast. We are raising the funds for the girl's trip to San Antonio for the International Contest.

Also the summer would not be complete without a Picnic. We are working on that, and the date is August 9, so check your Post for details. This is always a favorite of the members, and we cannot go without it.

Finally, for those folks on vacation, please have a safe and fun trip, and when you get back, stop in and tell us all about it.
